Birdie and I leave for Tanzania tomorrow at 3:10 PM with a cast of thousands, well just about 30 others from St. Paul Area Synod anyway.
I think it is my 9th trip, including the medical ones. I believe I will have accumulated about 36 or more weeks in Tanzania after this trip, mostly in Iringa, Ilula and Idunda, then Dar es Salaam.
We are just about packed, with stuff strewn all over so far. But most of the piles make sense. It is a bit immobilizing. We still have a Target run to make. The goal is to have no packing to do in the morning!
I will be checking in to Delta in a few hours. In a half hour we will be off to church and say our goodbyes for a couple months. Then it is pack some more and try to tie up all the loose ends as they pop into our minds.
